This is a chart put together by the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital and the Finger Lakes Regional Poison and Drug Information Center. It shows the similarities between candy and medicine – be sure to click on the image to expand it to its full size. Although there are a variety of medicines that come in candy flavors, like grape or cherry, it is scary to see an actual chart that shows just how eerily similar medicine and candy look. So use caution and be sure to keep your medicine somewhere secure and out of the reach of children. There is also an online quiz for kids provided by Finger Lakes, in case you want to see if your child can differentiate candy and medicine.

This is funny, it took me back to when I was a kid and I used to play with my across the street neighbor, Brandon. I remember we were playing around, and instead of eating real candy, I ate an Advil. It actually DID taste like candy though! Sweet tasting. Weird, right?

I remember kids with the cigarette looking candy back in the day. That can’t be good either.
