Kazoozles, another Wonka brand candy with an interesting name. Similar to Twizzlers Sweet and Sour Filled Twists, these Kazoozles are also rope candy with fillings. There are two flavors – Cherry Punch and Pink Lemonade. Never failing to bring out the kid in everyone, the description on the wrapper reads “delickoricious chewy candy.”
First off, the Cherry Punch Kazoozles. Each package comes with two red cherry flavored ropes with blue punch filling. The cherry rope has a perfect chewy consistency; not too hard and not too soft. I could easily chew it without it getting stuck to my teeth. The punch filling looks gooey and sticky, but practically melts in your mouth. Together, the Cherry Punch Kazoozles are absolutely “delickoricious.” They are like fruit snacks, but better.
Cherry Punch Kazoozles - Rating:

The Pink Lemonade Kazoozles contain two lemon ropes with pink cherry filling. They look exactly like the Cherry Punch Kazoozles except the pink lemonade version has sour sugar crystals sprinkled all over it. Don’t let that fool you though; the crystals make it more tangy than sour. Nothing on the wrapper says it’s supposed to be sour, so I can’t really be mad at that. Overall, the Pink Lemonade Kazoozles taste good, can be a bit messy due to the sugar crystals.

Pink Lemonade Kazoozles - Rating:

Both were pretty tasty but I prefer the cherry punch over the pink lemonade for two reasons. First, the Cherry Punch Kazoozles aren’t as messy as the sugar covered Pink Lemonade Kazoozles. Second, the flavor of the cherry rope speaks to the cherry fruit roll-up lover in me. For 69 cents each, you can’t really go wrong with either of them.

As a fan of sour candy, I’ve always liked Warheads. So of course, I had to try out the new Warheads QBZ Sour Fruit Chews. There are four flavors in the box which are Green Apple, Strawberry, Blue Raspberry, and Watermelon. If you weren’t already aware, Warheads candies usually have a sour meter on the packaging to rate how sour the candies are. The rating system is as follows: Tart, Sour, Super Sour, and Extreme. These QBZ Sour Fruit Chews, in particular, have a “Sour” rating.
The Warheads QBZ Sour Fruit Chews look like sugar cubes except in different colors. They are really chewy and are covered in sour crystals. However, they only have a hint of sourness, so even if you are not a fan of sour candy, you still might find these enjoyable. Usually with different flavored candy there’s a flavor that stands out more than the rest, but I couldn’t pick out a favorite from this bunch. They’re all pretty decent tasting, but not sour enough for my taste.
The QBZ Sour Fruit Chews were only $1.49 so they are definitely worth trying out for yourselves. Sour candies generally have sour crystals that accumulate at the bottom of the bag, but I was disappointed to find that this bag didn’t! I really do hope they come out with a more sour version that’ll bump these QBZ Fruit Chews to the “Extreme” category and leave me sour crystals to enjoy at the end. Maybe they can even throw in the Black Cherry flavor from the original Warheads hard candy. So come on Warheads, make me happy!

Happy first day of Fall everyone! Can’t wait for the weather to get cooler =D
I was at World Market and came across this Chewy Lemonhead & Friends Candy. Now, I have always been a fan of Ferrara Pan’s Lemonheads, Cherryheads, Appleheads and Orangeheads but I mainly ate them for the outer sour shells and not for the hard candy on the inside. Not ever thinking they would make other variations, I was surprised to find Chewy Lemonhead & Friends Candy at the store. It costs about $1.49 and contains five flavors from the originals: Lemonhead, Grapehead, Orangehead, Cherryhead, and Applehead.
I’ve never had the original Grapeheads, but these chewy Grapeheads are delicious. Eating them brought me back to my childhood days when I was obsessed with Grape Kool-Aid. Seriously, if you like Grape Kool-Aid, Grapeheads are for you. The other flavors – Lemonhead, Cherryhead, Orangehead & Applehead – tasted just like the originals but in chewy form. They all had delightful, slightly sour outer shells and chewy, jelly insides.
This box of Chewy Lemonhead & Friends Candy was really good. I liked how the box had the entire variety of “fruit”head flavors. Made with real fruit juice, my only wish is that the juice I drink is as sour and yummy as these. If you liked at least one of Ferrara Pan’s original “fruit” heads, you would definitely love these. Especially if you are like me and was never a fan of the hard candy centers. On the other hand, if you’ve never had any of the original Lemonhead, Applehead, Cherryhead, Orangehead, or Grapehead candies, this would be a great box to start with since it has all the flavors in one box.

Topps Company, which is famous for candy such as Push Pops and Ring Pops, made this new candy called Wazoo. They come in two fruity flavors, Wild Berriez and Blue Razz. What makes these unique is that they are actual candy bars devoid of any chocolate. Think of a fruity version of a 3 Musketeers Bar.
When I first opened these up and saw how pretty they looked, I have to say I was really excited to taste them. I mean, they were so colorful! The Wild Berriez Wazoo has a purple outer layer and its center is divided into two colors, pink and yellow. It is topped off with what they call “crunchies,” which are blue, yellow, red and pink sprinkles. On the other hand, the Blue Razz Wazoo has the same crunchies, but it has a blue and pink filling wrapped in a outer blue layer.
I tried the Wild Berriez Wazoo first and it was different, to say the least. I took a bite and I still half expected to taste chocolate. There was no chocolate taste of course, but instead, there was this chewy fruity, not-so-yummy taste. The purple outer layer didn’t melt in my hand, but it was soft to chew and melted in my mouth. The pink and yellow filling was chewy but not really sticky as they didn’t stick to my teeth. All together, I kept trying to like this candy, but could not. However, one good thing about this candy is the sprinkles. On their own, they tasted pretty good, but with the candy bar, it got lost in Wazoo’s “unique” flavor.
After that first Wazoo bar, I was dreading the thought of eating the second one. Although after I bit into the Blue Razz Wazoo, I was surprised that it didn’t taste too bad. As soon the outer blue layer melted, it tasted like a soft, chewy raspberry flavored Starburst. Even so, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I liked this Blue Razz Wazoo bar. If anything, it was a slight improvement from the Wild Berriez Wazoo.
All in all, these Wazoo bars looked delicious, but they really didn’t live up to its look. If you’re still curious about them, definitely go for the Blue Razz flavor. Both cost around $0.79 each. After trying these, candy bars really should just stick to being chocolate.
Moral of this review: Looks, even with candy, can be deceiving.

These are not your typical Nerds. They’re not even shaped like them, they’re a lot bigger. However, when you bite into one, you’ll know that they’re related to the original Nerds. Just as the bag describes these as having a “bumpalicious shell, chewilicious jelly bean center,” they basically are jelly beans with a bumpy outer layer. They come in five different flavors: strawberry, grape, lemon, lime, and orange.
You realize why these are Nerds candy specifically when you try the strawberry and grape ones. The outer layers are reminiscent of the original strawberry and grape Nerds. Although I did immediately think “grape medicine,” the grape flavor eventually grew on me and I finally noticed that they were the original Nerds grape flavor. Then I tried the strawberry and true to its name, it tasted just like the original strawberry Nerds. The jelly bean center was very chewy and made these a great variation of Nerds candy.
The other 3 flavors were actually really good. The orange tasted just like you’d expect orange to taste. The outer shells of the lime and lemon flavors gave off a little sour taste, which were a nice surprise. It made me wonder why they chose both lemon and lime when they’re pretty similar to each other in taste. Couldn’t they have chosen a completely different flavor like watermelon or apple?
Overall, these Giant Chewy Nerds are actually really good. Upon first trying them, I couldn’t put the bag down. I tried eating them by just eating the outer layer first before the jelly bean center and I also tried it by just biting into them, and i couldn’t figure out which way I liked it better. Either way, they’re delicious, under a buck each, and I definitely recommend them to anyone. I only hope they later come out with a sour version =D
