I enjoy Snickers, not only the chocolate bar but the Snickers Ice Cream Bars as well. So, I did not hesitate to buy the new, Limited Edition Snickers Fudge bar. I assumed that it was regular Snickers with a chocolate, fudgy filling. Only when I got home did I notice the description on the wrapper which described it as a peanut butter nougat with peanuts.
The new Snickers Fudge bar sports a new beige wrapper with light brown stripes. As expected, the huge Snickers logo is smack dab in the middle with “Fudge” written underneath. The exterior of the chocolate bar looks exactly like the original Snickers. The difference obviously lies within. The inside is neatly arranged with a peanut nougat lower layer and an upper layer of chocolate fudge and peanuts.
With my first bite, I mostly noticed the difference in texture from the original Snickers. The Snickers Fudge is easy to bite into and is first crumbly before it turns creamy. The nougat’s peanut butter flavor is subtle and together with the upper fudge layer and peanuts, the Snickers Fudge bar is a definite winner.

After seeing the commercial for the Dark Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups several times, you can imagine my excitement when I spotted them at Walgreens for under a buck. For those who have been living under a rock, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are cups of milk chocolate with peanut butter centers. In this case, the milk chocolate is substituted for dark chocolate. Being a fan of dark chocolate, I had high hopes for the new Dark Chocolate Reese’s.
If you have had the regular Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, you already have an idea of what the dark chocolate variation tastes like. Taking a bite of the edge of the cup, being careful to only nip the dark chocolate, I could taste the sweetness of the dark chocolate.
However, taking a normal bite, the peanut butter overpowered the dark chocolate to the point where it tasted similarly to the original Reese’s. In fact, if I were blindfolded, I would not have noticed a difference.
Overall, while the Dark Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups tastes great (just like the original), there is nothing new about it. Because of its similar taste to the original, I give it a rating of 3 out of 5.

I have never been a fan of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so I was hesitant to try these new M&M’s. They’re Strawberried Peanut Butter flavored limited edition M&M’s promoting the movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. There are seven different wrappers for this particular flavor but the one I found was “The Twins” (collector’s pack 7 of 7). Inside the bag are three different colored M&M’s – red, brown and yellow with red speckles. I didn’t understand the yellow with speckles, maybe it was a transformed M&M? Who knows?
When I first popped one in my mouth, I tasted a hint of strawberry. This was a very tasty strawberry flavor, but as soon as I realized it was there, it almost immediately disappeared. That’s because the peanut butter quickly took over. The peanut butter flavor overpowered the strawberry, but even so, they tasted pretty good. I went from not wanting to try these to practically eating the entire bag in one sitting.
These Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M’s are a hit in my book. They reminded me of Reese’s Pieces but slightly bigger with a delightful strawberry twist. If you haven’t tried these, they are only about $0.79 each so grab yourself a bag before they are discontinued.

Along with the Twixels from the previous post, another thing I found at Target was these Reese’s Select Clusters for $2.99. The bag reads “Signatures” on the bottom, giving off the impression that these are some chic and classy chocolates. Individually wrapped, these Reese’s Select Clusters are milk chocolates that contain peanut butter (of course), pecans, peanuts and caramel.
These chocolates were good from the first bite on. Overall, the Reese’s Select Clusters tasted exactly like the original Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups except with the addition of tiny pecan and peanut chunks. Since the pecans and peanuts were chopped small, I really couldn’t tell which nut was which when I was eating them. Regardless, the nuts added that bit of crunch and were a great addition.
Due to the summer heat, I ate these Reese’s Select Clusters when they were slightly melted which made them deliciously soft and easy to bite into.
I later threw them in the fridge and found that I liked them better. When they were cold, the hardened center really brought out the caramel in the chocolates.
If you like the original Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, you’ll definitely enjoy these =D
